Answers to Exam
Week Six
Created Multiframe with round rectangles and added graphics of my cat Mooch.
Then added paw tubes and musical tubes, a 30 pixel frame with
textured border and a 10 pixel frame with bevelled border.
Created another Multiframe with star shapes and inserted Mooch along with his
Furface Friends: Fuzzy, Lucy, Red and Peanut. Added another 30 pixel frame,
added background pattern, added 10 pixel frame and bevelled.
Above is the final assignment where we had to create a frame using most of the new things
learned in this class. I used framestarter, filled with color from artist palette tube then applied
Effects Texture - Sculpture - Brush Strokes. Added drop shadow twice, added chisel effect,
added inner bevel Nr. 9. Then I applied a decorative inner bevelled dingbat font in each
of the 4 corners. Then I started a graphic using a tube I had created of Mooch,
added a painter's palette and brushes, used the eraser brush for better effect, added
brush tube, and paint splatter tubes and logo learned earlier this
week and applied drop shadows to all.
1. Organizing tubes makes them easier to locate. Also, PSP loads faster if tubes are stored in another folder on the hard drive, categorized in sub folders and the PSP browser and File locations are set to locate them when needed.
2. Placing one's initials on saved tubes and frames makes them easily identifiable as one's own work, especially if one intends to share them with others.
3. One always needs to make a copy of the framestarter so as not to inadvertently lose the original when working on it or saving it with changes.
4. It is a good idea to periodically save one's work as one could lose valuable work and time if PSP freezes or crashes for some reason.
This lesson was so much fun. Thank you Peggy, Carol and Phyllis, I learned so much
and I appreciate it. See you in one of the future classes.
